Gomeju Oil Ethiopia has invested 700 million birr to distribute petroleum products. At an inaugural ceremony on May 7 founder Tewodros Yeshiwas, pointed to the increasing number of trucks and the lack of gas stations as the motivation behind investing in new service stations and petroleum distribution. The company has established 24 gas stations in Oromia, Amhara, Benishagul, Somalia, Tigray and SNNP and their Bishoftu gas station can serve 17 vehicles at a time while storing 90,000 liters of oil. Minister of Mines, Petroleum and Natural Gas Tolosa Shagi said that Gomeju’s investment helps the country’s development goals.
