Ethiopian Government employees (civil servants) who are estimated to reach around 2,000,000 (two million) will see new salary scales and wage increments ranging from 300% to 30%. According to government sources, the salary increment will be 300% for employees who are on the smaller bracket of the salary scale. Employees who are on the higher end of the salary scale might receive up to 30% salary increment.
According to sources, civil servants earning less than 1,800 ETB might earn 300% salary increment while government employees earning above 2,000 and below 3,000 might get as much as 200% increment.
