Habesha to Expand in Budding Brewery Industry

Habesha Breweries S.C. has started an effort to double up its annual production capacity to 1.5 million hectolitres. The project is likely to cost  a billion Br, according to sources.

Heineken to Claim No1 Production Capacity

Heineken Ethiopia is set to inaugurate its one year expansion project executed at a total cost of 2.4 billion Br. The project will give the company the highest production capacity in Ethiopia’s brewery industry. Habesha Beer Enters The Market

Habesha Beer started distribution on July 11, 2015, 20 days after commencing production, with a limited market in Debre Birhan, Addis Abeba and Adama.

In terms of share capital distribution, Habesha Beer has 8,800 shareholders including idirs, equbs, and Ethiopians in the Diaspora, with shares of 4,000 Br to 5,000,000 Br, Yonas Alemu, Habesha’s commercial director disclosed. BGI’s Hawassa Plant to Boost Beer Capital Production to 1.44m hl

BGI Ethiopia, Ethiopia’s giant brewery, received eight large fermentation tanks for the expansion of its Hawassa plant on Thursday January 15, 2014 with an investment of 30 million euros.
