Hotels Investment Forum Spawns Agreement for Eleventh International Brand

The Fifth Africa Hotels Investment Forum (AHIF) has seen Nibras Hotel Plc, a local company, and Accor Hotels Group signing a technical assistance and management agreement for the hotel which will be established in a building currently being constructed near Banco di Roma at Piazza.

This agreement signed on Thursday October 1, 2015, followed another international agreement signed between Sunshine Business Plc and Hilton Worldwide on September 29, 2015.

Intercontinental, Louvre Hotel Groups Venture to Ethiopia

Tsemex Hotels & Business Plc, the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) are expected to sign agreements for a loan of 9.5 million dollars to introduce to Ethiopia an Intercontinental Hotels group brand called Crowne Plazza. Golden Tulip joins Addis Ababa’s booming hospitality industry

A local hotel firm, Aschalew Belay Hotel Projects, is signing a profit sharing agreement late in the afternoon today with the Europe-based, Louvre Hotel Groups, to enable the former operate a newly-built four-star hotel under the Golden Tulip Hotel brand.

New Agreements to Increase Addis Abeba’s International Hotel Brands to Double Figures

Four hotel management agreements were signed last week, which could push the total number of international branded hotels in Ethiopia up to 10. These were in addition to two agreements signed last weekend, with all six agreements negotiated by Calibra Hospitality Consultancy & Business Plc on behalf of the Ethiopia companies.
