Awash Bank has earned 1.96 billion birr gross profit for the 2018 / 2017 budget year. This makes the bank the leading private bank in Ethiopia interms of profit. The bank’s gross profit showed an increase of 650ml birr compared to last years performance.

The net profit after tax reached 1.49 billion birr while the earning per share (EPS) increased from the previous year’s 390 birr to 540 birr.

The bank managed to collect a total income of 5.4 billion birr which showed an increase of 1.7 billion birr. The banks capital now stands at 6 billion birr while the paid up capital amounts to 3.36 billion birr.
