Most banks in Ethiopia are releasing their annual report for 2022 / 2021 G.C (2014 E.C) budget year which ended on June 30, 2022 G.C (ሰኔ 2014). We have compiled this report and estimated the figures of remaining banks by carefully analyzing previous year’s performance and current year’s quarterly or half-year reports. The following table will be adjusted whenever new and verified information is available.

Newly formed banks which are providing regular and interest free banking services as well as saving and credit associations which were providing micro finance services that grew into a bank will release their financial report for the first time as a bank. Other banks which started their operations in the current fiscal year will release their financial report next year after June 2023 (ሰኔ 2015). Newly formed banks are Amhara Bank, Ahadu Bank, Tsehay Bank, Goh Betoch Bank, ZamZam Bank, Gadaa Bank and Hijira Bank while micro finance institutions that grew into a bank include Tsedey Bank, Siinqee Bank, Shabelle Bank, Omo Bank and Sidama Bank.

Hi there, i appreciate your reporting about businesses in Ethiopia. However, your estimates about banks' profit is completely inappropriate, because it is out of pure guess- without any leading information. You have been hundreds millions of birrs away from actual profits. i think it is better to report what is reported by banks - to maintain your credibility.

Good job, keep it up. Estimate is estimate and it may move up or down. Key is to provde the" cake while it is hot". Please include also other key parameter estimate like capital, deposit, estimate EPS, every thing is utomst estimate that is liable to change thourgh time based on the dàta found. Cheers! I am not clear WHY most banks are reluctant to give early information about the report to shareholders & industry followers. National Bank should give instruction or rule to have REPORTS EARLY TO BE FLOATED.

Thanks s lot for such an early report based on various factors. As a share holder of Nib International Bank, I would love to hear an early report. I approached the share department, they told me they can't tell me anything about the previous year performance of the bank, the Bank advised me to wait until after general assembly meeting the share holders, toward the end of the year.

Thanks for the feedback. You are right, all of the banks and insurance companies provide actual figures after the general assembly which is usually around November and December. We will have to wait until then to get actual financial report.
